Nige Callender continues to find new ground, this time returning to the Milestone Buttress Boulders in the Ogwen Valley where he recently added a sitting start to Harvey Oswald.

The Pit and the Pendulum takes the wall between Jez's Arete and Pit Start, starting sitting as for Pit Start, and proceeding directly up the wall via a painful two finger sidepull.

As for the grade: Nige commented thus:

“Its very painful and about V8/9 – 7b/7c (so probably V8+/7b+) I’m not really sure though, set one of the Llanberis bloodhounds on it and we’ll see!”

Nige also flashed Huffy’s sitting start to Jez's Arete, commenting that it felt about V7/7a+, rather than the V8/+ - 7b/+ grade originally mooted.
