Fresh from his amazing ascent of The Ace V13/8b (on some obscure grit crag near Sheffield) 15 year old Tyler Landman popped over to North Wales for a weekend visit. Cold dry conditions allowed him to make a quick repeat of Sway On (V11/8a) at Gallt yr Ogof in the Ogwen Valley. Local lad Danny Cattell also managed a repeat of this on the same day.

On Sunday Tyler polished off Trigger Cut (V11/8a) in Parisella’s Cave. This also saw an impressive rapid ascent on Friday from Sheffield raider, Si Moore. Si made quick work of the difficulties, having only tried it very briefly on one previous occasion. Neil Mawson (another Sheffield raider) came very close to making a very casual flash of Rock Atrocity on the same day, only to be foiled by a wet pinch at the end of the problem.

Over in the Llanberis Pass Pete Robins nipped in for the 2nd ascent of Neil Dyer’s new problem A Fat Start. Pete confirmed the V8+/7b+ grade.
