Big G comes back early with December’s collector’s item:

Dear NWB.com, this fabulous offering spends some of its life submerged in Llyn Peris, being situated at grid reference: 593 592 below the road half way between Llanberis and Nant Peris. In a break with tradition this month’s pic features a live climber. In fact, none other than Dr Noel Craine (a true gentleman) demonstrating with suitable aplomb the delightful right-to-left traverse of the slopey block situated down in front of the neglected classic: Fishskin Wall (V7/7a+ sds). The direct mantel in the middle is also pleasant; boulder first discovered by Crook, Redhead et al

Love, Big G.

Editor’s note: see page 96 in the NWB guide for more details. The water levels of Llyn Peris rise and fall on a daily basis according to the needs of the adjacent hydroelectric power station. For more information visit the Electric Mountain on the Llanberis bypass road (I can recommend the homemade lemonade and carrot cake in the café).
