Adam Hocking has re-climbed Message to Rudy on the Wavelength hillside (i.e. just up behind the Grooves Boulder – see page 80 in NWB guide). The problem had lain fallow for a number of years following the breakage of one of the main holds. Hock worked out another harder sequence missing out the broken hold, and dispatched the line forthwith. The rock here is quite soft, particularly on the lower starting holds, so no heavy brushing, please.

The mooted grade is now V8+/7b+. Although a left hand start from a low layaway hold appears to be possible, Hock started further right with his left hand in the obvious low dish.
