Fresh back from a long trip to Hueco in the States, Chris Doyle moved quickly to re-establish his Ormes scorecard. After repeating Empire of Dirt, Chris took up Si Panton’s suggestion that he try the unclimbed line just right of Ring Peace. After a bit of brushing and a few tentative attempts a sequence emerged and Chris made it out along the thin flake line in the roof to the lip. He then swerved left with some very tenuous and powerful moves to reach and finish as for Ring Peace at the large jug above the lip.

Chris was unsure of the grade for Texas Karaoke Massacre, commenting:

“It felt pretty hard, but I could see how it might become easier as the holds clean up. So I’ll give it a split grade: 7b/7b+. Either way, it's a superb problem.”
