Saturday afternoon saw some excellent crisp conditions on the Orme. Lancashire raider Jordan Buys made an impressive repeat of Gaz Parry’s new cave classic, Clyde V12/Font 8a+. Jordan had tried the line previously, but was keen to return and complete the job.

“I’m just so inspired by this problem. It’s a great line, plus it has a highball feel to it.” enthused Jordan just prior to his successful ascent. On one go Jordan made it right through to the top, but with only one hand on the finishing jug he helicoptered off without making the match. Despite the frustration of such a near miss he composed himself and made another attempt, this time making no mistake.

The problem has had a number of repeats now: Adam Hocking, Liam Desroy, Andy Earl.
