Just catching up on a few bits of FA action in Dyffryn Peris (lots more news items to come in the next few days). James McHaffie has been busy picking off some interesting new lines. A few weeks back he completed Brathiad y Gaeaf (7C+), a good, sweeping link-line on the Summer Teeth boulder just below Dinas Mot.
Caff’s line starts as per Summer Telse but then keeps heading right along the lip, reversing the crux section of Si Panton’s Bag of Sticks (7B) to finish up the ramp of Summer Teeth.
Recent feedback has suggested that some of the grades here might need a nudge: Summer Telse is perhaps 7A after all, and Bag of Sticks is likely harder than the current book grade.
