Tim Blake has climbed a spectacular line on Tryfan. Cath Palug (7C!) tackles the left side of the Rhudda Gawr arête (a 7B! first climbed by Owen Hayward in 2022).

”It’s about 7C, but people might want to get there with half a grade in hand. The landing is quite bad and it would be a bit of a rubbish fall in an exposed location.” Said Tim after the ascent.

Tim’s spotter, Craig Davies, also got some FA action on the same day when he added the obvious sitting start to Rhudda Gawr. This went at 7B+/C.

You can download a topo for this part of Tryfan here.

On the nearby Clogwyn y Tarw boulders Osian Parry added a sitting start to The Funk. This doesn't really change the grade from 7C+ but does make it feel like a more complete line.
