A bit of late news from the boulders below Llech Ddu in Cwm Llafar. In December Osian Parry climbed a sitting start to The King. He has named it The King Consort and suggested a grade of 7C+, as he explains here:
Last summer Cai Bishop Guest did the project mentioned in the NWB Mountain Crags guide (page 257) at a surprisingly amenable/sandbag suggested grade of 7A. He started this as per the jug, where The King normal version starts. He named it Nid fy Mrenin, a great name, but one that has been used before by the NWB editor. Relevant links: |
