Tim Blake has climbed the beautiful, coloured wall project left of Press or Drop in Chwarel Moel y Gest (see page 589 in the NWB Mountain Crags guide 3.1). The line was well known and even has a bolt (placed by Pete Robins) on the ledge above it to set up an inspection rope.

“It’s incredible, one of the best I’ve done.”

Said Tim, before adding:

“It’s actually quite overhung at the top, and those crimps are tiny so get really bad once your pulling up on them.”

Tim has suggested the grade of 8B+ for Orlok, although he is unsure of its true difficulty, except that for him it felt harder than his recent 8B+, Declarative Memory at Tan y Grisiau.
