In a rare break from belay and spotting slave duties for Finn, Owen Hayward has grabbed some 'me time' up at the brilliant Tal y Fan boulders, to add another quality 7A+. The Walrus of Love starts up the existing problem Barrow Wight then heads right at lip level to gain and finish up the right arete.

Tal y Fan is a great spot with a remote feel in a beautiful setting - it feels a bit like a granite tor without the skin rasping granite! Perfect in warm weather with a breeze as it's cool and shady in the afternoon and evening.
