Eliot Stephens was quick to take advantage of the relaxation of travel restrictions within Wales, traveling north to sample more north side action. On a visit to Gorlan/Sheep Pen in Nant Ffrancon he noticed an attractive unclimbed line. Front Face Sit (7B+) is, as the name suggest, a sitting start to Front Face on the valley side of the Pinch boulder. You can expect steep, powerful moves on perfect rock. See page 281/2 in the new North Wales Bouldering Volume 1: Mountain Crags guide.

David Fidler also made his mark, sussing out a new line right of Klem’s Arête. Dim Klem (7A) starts sitting in the groove and heads straight up via a series of undercuts and slopers. See page 276 in the new guide.
