With a brief thaw occurring in the mountains Owen Hayward snatched a day away from winter climbing duties and headed south to sample the joys of Porth Ysgo.
Firstly he repeated Chaos Theory, taking a slightly higher line (staying above the original line of pockets) on the last section and reckoning V8/7B (rather than V8/7B+) for this alternative (suggested name: Calm Before the Storm.
Next up Owen turned his attention to the obvious aręte line on the opposite back side of the Dolly Rocker block.
Dringo Gaeaf V5/6C starts standing down in the pit with spike hold around to left for the left hand. Climb straight up the prow via a deadpoint to a high right edge and slightly highball top out.
“A great problem and worth three stars!” enthused Owen.
