On Bank Holiday Monday Mark Katz climbed the superb project wall at Carreg Bengham Bach, Nant Mor. A one time muse of Martin Crook's, this ultra thin wall climb had repelled a number of hotshots over the years.

Mark reckoned Elementary Wall was worth V8/7b up to an obvious pocket. It then finishes with some scary, tricky old school 6a up the hanging groove to a high top out. Something of a hybrid route/boulder problem - Mark suggested, after some thought that it could be considered as E7 6c. Nonetheless a very fine and attractive line.

Location: The light coloured returning wall (into the obvious hanging groove at 6 metres) left of Little Towse on the Prairie.

(NB. for the record, Mark did briefly top rope the line before his ascent.)
