While it is great to see so many folk getting out and enjoying the cold dry conditions, concerns have been expressed about the state of some of the popular bouldering venues, in particular, RAC, Sheep Pen and various places in the Llanberis Pass.

Please keep chalk use to a minimum, and if you must use tick marks, remove them afterwards. Do not drop any litter and if you see any on your travels (regardless of who dropped it) pick it up and take it home with you. Ideally leave the crag in a better state than how you found it.

At the risk of stating the obvious: the places in which we boulder are special – let’s keep them that way!
