Nodder’s Ogwen Prowler selfie

Dave Noden has completed the well known Nant Ffrancon prow project mentioned in the recent Carys news item. Dave had actually been up to check out the line when, by coincidence, this news item was published. So, spurred on by the thought that someone else might get back up there first, he returned and did the deed.

Ogwen Prowler 7A proved to be a brilliant problem. Initially it felt 7Bish but it changed, as Dave points out:

“A couple of holds fell off, hence its easier than it first seemed. There is now a much better hold at the base for your left which you can get a good heel behind, to get established on the fin higher up. There is a heather landing there at the moment which is nice and springy.”
