A Sunday afternoon jolly down to Porth Ysgo for Dave Noden’s 40th resulted in much fun and banter, but also a brilliant first ascent for James McHaffie. Bad Hombres 7B+! tackles the slight rib feature right of Prodigal Son (see page 491 in the new NWB guide).

Caff spotted the highball line and immediately went for it. After several goes he powered through the hard rockover crux and continued up the less difficult but still thin and tricky ground to the top.
