There are still some very juicy lines left to do in the Llanberis Pass, especially if you stray from the usual haunts. As if to prove this point Matthias Eisenmann has just climbed an impressive highball in a little visited area beyond Craig y Llwyfan.

Waiting for the Elevator 7A+! tackles a high, slightly steep arête. Start sitting with the right hand on the arête and left hand on a sidepull. Follow the line of sidepulls to the big hole at two thirds up the boulder and finish with the bold topout and mantel.

Approach: from the Lizard King block carry on left towards some bigger boulders at the same height. Go up and bear left above these boulders. At this point you should see a big slabby face, the boulder can be found on the opposite side of that wall (it's the arête with a little landing beneath it). To get there bear left up the rocky hillside. (53.0837882, -4.0439162)
