Pintsized (7B)

Pringle (7C)

Peak-based powerhouse, Jim Pope, has scooped up a pair of neat FAs close to Isles of Wonder at Carreg Mianog in Dyffryn Ogwen. See page 345 in the NWB 3.1 guide.

Pintsized (7B) is a roof and crack/compression line, which uses knees and trickery to climb from the back of the roof out to the lip, before finishing up the crack.

”It’s pretty low, hence the name, but has some really cool moves on lovely rock.” explained Jim after the ascent.

Jim did the second new problem, Pringle (7C), from a stand start. Pull on with a small undercut and right hand sloper. Slap up the arete, before jumping for the lip. Jim reckoned the sds would go, albeit at a pretty hard grade.

Pintsized is located 20m uphill from Isles of Wonder, whereas Pringle lies 15m to the right.
